John is Of Counsel to Bailey Onsager and currently limits his professional activities to the mediation and arbitration of a wide variety of claims and disputes.

John joined the firm in 1971 when it was Guttormsen, Scholfield & Stafford, and eventually added his name to the firm when it became Stafford Frey Cooper. Before devoting his practice solely to mediation and arbitration, John practiced in the areas of negligence and product liability, insurance coverage, commercial law and litigation, fidelity and surety law, and maritime law. He is now a full-time neutral, and has served as mediator or arbitrator in more than 2,000 cases, averaging 200+ mediations and 50+ arbitrations per year. Education
